VBS FAQ’s
-
Vacation Bible School (VBS) at St. Mark’s UCC of Snydersburg is a week-long, faith-filled program for children featuring Bible lessons, music, crafts, games, and service. Led by caring volunteers, activities are age-appropriate and focus on kindness, compassion, and living out faith. Families can volunteer and attend a closing celebration showcasing the children’s learning and community service. VBS offers a safe, inclusive space for spiritual growth, friendship, and serving others.
-
Children should wear comfortable play clothes suitable for active days, as VBS activities may include painting, outdoor games, and hands-on crafts. Our goal is to ensure children can participate fully and safely while enjoying every activity.
-
Prepackaged snacks and drinks will be provided each day to keep children energized during activities. We are committed to safety and inclusion, so if your child has any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please include that information on the registration form. Our volunteers will make accommodations to ensure that all children can enjoy snack time safely.
-
If you notice an error or need to update your child’s registration information, please email us as soon as possible. Our team will review your request and make the necessary corrections to ensure your child’s details are accurate for the week of VBS. Prompt communication helps us provide a smooth and organized experience for everyone.

We expect children to be at VBS by 9:00 AM so that activities can start on time. Doors will open at 8:30 AM for early arrivals. Pick-up is at 11:30 AM in the sanctuary, where parents or guardians should sign children out. This schedule helps ensure every child has a structured, safe, and engaging experience from start to finish.
-
At the end of the VBS week, a closing picnic will be held on Sunday, July 21, 2026, for all children and their families. This celebration provides an opportunity to share what the children have learned, showcase crafts and projects, enjoy a meal together, and strengthen community bonds. The picnic is a joyful way to conclude the week, celebrate growth, and connect with other families in fellowship.
-
Volunteering is a wonderful way to support our Vacation Bible School program and engage with children in meaningful activities. Volunteers may assist with crafts, games, music, snack distribution, or helping with drop-off and pick-up. No prior experience is necessary, and training is provided to ensure a safe, fun, and organized environment for children and volunteers alike.
